Ayurveda

Ayurveda is an ancient form of medicine that is intrinsic to everyday wellness and healing. Combining both Hindu and Buddhist healing practices, Ayurveda emphasizes balance, detox and lifestyle change to heal and prevent disease.

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term that literally translates as “the science of life” (ayu meaning life, and veda meaning science). Ayurveda goes beyond being a healing system. It’s a way of life. It’s the food you eat, the exercise you participate in, how you manage stress, and your daily routines.

Each of us is unique!

We are all born with a unique constitution that makes us who we are, inside and out. We may be short, tall, thin, muscular, fiery, mellow, have dry or oily skin, we may be able to “eat anything” or not. This means that you need a customized approach to how you approach life – from diet, exercise and overall lifestyle. When we balance our unique constitutions, we can achieve ultimate wellness.

How I can help you?

Are you struggling with a health issue? I know, so have I. Are you just looking for a natural approach to caring for yourself? Do you have conflicts with life balance and your health! I can help you overcome these obstacles.

In a two-part meeting, we will create a custom program to help you become your most vibrant self through the ancient science of Ayurveda.

Session 1 (60 minutes)
First, we will look at your goals and your struggles. We will do an assessment of your constitution (prakriti). From there we can identify the imbalances that are preventing you from feeling your best.

Session 2 (60 minutes)
We will work together on correcting your imbalances.  Each plan is unique and will give you guidelines such as:

  • Dietary tips to help your body digest food more efficiently.
  • Food recommendations including recipe ideas – particularly what you should and shouldn’t be eating based on your constitution.
  • One of the most important – helping you draft a daily routine that will help you find balance.
  • Recommendations for the type of exercise you should be doing including yoga, meditation and breathing exercises.

This two-part session is $135/session.

Since we are looking at long-term health goals, I always recommend follow-up sessions. We are hoping to make life changes, not temporary fixes.

45-minute follow-up sessions $60
